Demonstration at Altria's NYC Headquarters
April 27, 2006

The day after the 2007 Altria shareholders meeting, 60+ youth and adult advocates symbolically "quarantined" Altria's New York City headquarters, while handing out palmcards to passers by. A few photos:

Meanwhile, the Altria fortress was heavily guarded. Photos: 1, 2, 3

At the close of the rally, youth dressed up as representatives of the spoof tobacco company Licensed to Kill attempted to deliver a sarcastic "Profiting off of Poison Award - Golden Coffin Award 2007" to Altria. The company declined to accept it.

The "Licensed to Kill" reps then tried to deliver it to the company through some employees on a smoke break. They quickly ended their smoke break and went back inside.

The "Licensed to Kill" reps waited patiently for awhile longer, then started to chant "Altria takes our lives, takes our money, but won't take our awards!"
